Meet the team

Meet our Senior Event Manager, Jason White and find out what he loves the most about his job!

Jason has been working at Knowsley Hall for over 12 years and has gradually worked his way up the ladder to be promoted to Senior Event Manager.  Jason has a real passion for his role and is evident from all the amazing reviews we receive from couples who express their gratitude for having Jason be part of their special day.

What’s the one thing you tell couples on their wedding day?

From the early morning bridal preparations, greeting guests, having photographs taken to the wedding breakfast, speeches and first dance, a wedding is full on and there is so much to take in and remember.  I always remind couples on their wedding day to relax, take it all in and most importantly enjoy it!  I love that part of my job allows me to guide a couple through every step of the day and make sure it is one of the best days of their lives.

What do you enjoy most about your role as Event Manager?

The fact that no two days are the same; one day I can be running a Corporate Awards Dinner and the next day running a Wedding. The variety of events and people I get to meet gives me the drive to go above and beyond. Weddings hold a very special place in my heart and I love playing a part in making people’s dreams come true!

What’s the highlight of your career at Knowsley?

It has got to be when I landed my recent promotion to Events Manager. I originally started at Knowsley Hall as a glass collector where I worked hard, developed my skills, gained new qualifications and it all paid off in the end! I sometimes forget how far I have come and that my dream of running weddings and events is now a reality.

What’s your most favourite room in the Hall and why?

It has to be the State Dining room.  As you stand in the huge doorway, you are instantly hit by the sheer grandeur and scale of the room.  The detail and elegance is jaw dropping, especially the huge gold chandelier which occupies the room. Family portraits of previous Earls and Countesses line the walls and they make you want to know more about the amazing history of the Hall. I can’t help but be amazed at being in the same room that Kings & Queens have once dined in.

What has been your most memorable event have you worked on at Knowsley?

The most memorable event has to be the Marina Dalglish Charity Ball. The event hosts up to 400 guests in a marquee on the grounds and the evening is as incredible as the charity itself. This is the largest event that we do and the preparation and lead up to the day is incredibly exciting. The team work that goes in from all departments is amazing to be a part of and I feel extremely proud of the work that we do.

What does a typical day at Knowsley Hall look like?

Every day is different, you could be holding a wedding tasting for an excited couple, to preparing rooms for a crew to begin shooting a film. There is never a dull day day working in events at Knowsley Hall, there is always something new and exciting just around the corner.
